What to do if the SkyVisitor Applications are slow?
Follow the below guide to help improve your performance!
SkyVisitor Fix-It Guide
For Reception Desk – Super Simple!
Just follow the numbers. Do one step at a time.
1. Check Your Internet
You need FAST internet to use SkyVisitor.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Go to: www.speedtest.net
- Click the big GO button.
✅ Good if you see:
- Download = 15 or higher
- Upload = 15 or higher
- Ping = 100 or lower
❌ If numbers are too low:
- Plug in a ethernet cable from computer to router (not Wi-Fi).
- Still bad? → Call your internet / IT company.
2. Is Your Computer Strong Enough?
SkyVisitor needs a good computer.
Check in 30 seconds:
- Press Windows key + R (opens a small box).
- Type: msinfo32 → press Enter.
- Look at the list:

| 256GB SSD | C: drive (right-click in This PC → Properties) |
✅ All good? → Go to Step 3. ❌ Missing something? → Tell your IT person:
“SkyVisitor says I need i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.”
3. Close Everything Else
Too many programs = slow SkyVisitor.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc → opens Task Manager.
- Click Processes tab.
- Close anything NOT needed:
- Chrome (extra tabs)
- Spotify, Teams, Zoom
- Downloads folder
Right-click → End task (safe for these).
4. Clean Up Space & Memory
Like cleaning a messy desk.
- Press Windows key + R → type: cleanmgr → Enter.
- Pick C: drive → click OK → Clean up system files.
- Wait… done!
5. Restart the Computer (Every 3 Days!)
Old computers get tired. Cleaning them up prevents memory leaks and close unneeded applications in the background
Check how long it’s been on:
- Press Windows key + R → type: cmd → Enter.
- Type: systeminfo | find "Boot Time" → Enter.
❌ If it says more than 3 days ago → RESTART NOW!
Tip: Restart every Monday & Thursday morning.
6. Try SkyVisitor Again
- Close everything.
- Open only SkyVisitor.
- Use it for 5 minutes.
✅ Works great? You’re done! ❌ Still slow? → Take a photo of:
- Speedtest result
- Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) → Call IT or Support.
