SKYVISITOR.CLOUD Release Notes - Sprint 13 - 13/03/26

No significant disruption is expected for most users; this release focuses on improving check-in reliability, correcting email behaviour, refining validation logic, and introducing stronger data control for custom fields.

Key Updates

1) Check-in Reliability Improvements (Skytouch.cloud)
Multiple issues affecting QR code, search-based, and reception check-in workflows have been resolved.

Users can now complete check-in journeys more reliably without errors, including smoother badge printing and host notification.

2) Email Notification Accuracy
Email delivery logic has been corrected to ensure notifications are sent to the correct recipients without duplication.

  • Visitor Arrival emails now go to the correct recipient

  • Duplicate “Prebooked Visitor” emails have been eliminated

  • Visitor images now display correctly in host notifications

3) Visitor Form & Validation Improvements
Validation behaviour has been refined to ensure required fields are enforced only at the correct stage.

  • Photo upload is no longer required during pre-visit form submission (only at check-in where configured)

  • Required fields now align with system configuration, reducing false validation errors

  • Save & Close behaviour has been improved to ensure consistent and reliable form submission

4) Custom Field Permission Control (New)
New functionality allows administrators to control which users can edit custom fields.

  • Custom fields (Users & Visitors type) can now be set as read-only by default

  • Editing is restricted to specific user groups via configuration

  • Mandatory fields continue to be enforced at check-in where required

This enhances data governance by ensuring only authorised users can modify sensitive information.

5) Workflow & Authorisation Fixes
Authorisation and workflow consistency has been improved.

  • “Reject All” actions now correctly apply to both visitors and associated hosts

  • Prebooking and user editing workflows now behave consistently without blocking actions

Notes / Considerations

  • No action is required for most users.

  • If issues were previously experienced with check-in, email notifications, or form submission, these should now be resolved.

  • Administrators may review custom field permissions to take advantage of the new group-based edit controls.
