SKYVISITOR.CLOUD Release Notes - Sprint 10 - 20/02/26
No significant impact is expected for most users; this release is primarily security hardening and reliability improvements. Updates focus on tightening permissions, improving approval/authorisation notifications, and making contractor access clearer.
Key Updates
1) Permissions & Access Control
-
Visitor prebooking is now permission-controlled: the “Add Visitor” option on the Visit Management page is only available to users with the Create Prebooking permission.
-
Contractor access is now restricted by permission: contractor users who do not have “can login to website” enabled can no longer access the main SkyVisitor site.
2) Email Notifications (Approvals / Authorisation)
-
Authorisers now receive emails when a booking requires authorisation.
-
Important note: delivery relies on the Authoriser having the correct MAIN email address configured in System User settings.
3) Visitor Form Behaviour (Save & Close)
-
The visitor further-information form no longer displays a misleading “Your changes have been saved” message when nothing has actually been saved (e.g., partial or no input).
-
Messaging and save/validation behaviour are now aligned to reduce confusion.
4) Contractor Login Clarity
-
The SkyVisitor.cloud login page now clearly indicates contractor access (e.g., a contractor “hat” icon) and provides a clear route to the contractor login/portal.
-
This helps contractors confirm they are using the correct login during check-in/check-out.
Notes / Considerations
-
If authorisation emails are not being received, confirm the Authoriser’s notification email is set correctly as MAIN in System User settings.
